Now that we’re half way through Veganuary, you’re probably starting to get a little bit bored of lentils. So, we have sought out the ten best vegan places to eat across Yorkshire, giving you a bit more inspiration for these last two weeks (and beyond).
Whether you’re a committed carnivore or have been vegan long before it was popular, we are sure you will find something to tickle your taste buds at these fab vegan cafes and restaurants.

True Story, York

True Story, Vegan Cafe in York

We headed to this vegan café in the centre of York after our first Girl About Blog Squad Retreat. Safe to say, we weren’t feeling our best after the night before’s antics. The most I can usually manage on a hangover is a piece of dry toast so I was a bit apprehensive about our brunch spot of choice, but, it worked an absolute treat.

Despite the enormous amount of menu choice, both myself and Lyndsey opted for the hummus platter. And it was huge. With homemade bread. a ginormous bowl of thick homemade hummus, and salad complete with an incredible spicy dressing, it definitely soaked up the sins of the previous evening. The café itself was quirky and cool, without being overly styled and pretentious, with big plush sofas and tiger print cushions that matched the teapots. If you’re looking for a vegan café in York then we would both absolutely recommend True Story.

REVIEW | The Ivy Harrogate – A Safe & Sophisticated Bet For Date Night

The Ivy in Harrogate is a little less decadent than its other Yorkshire counterparts in Leeds and York but that’s not a bad thing. Expect an older crowd and a cozier atmosphere. It still oozes the sophistication that the Ivy is known for with the signature stained glass panels, art-deco lighting, white table cloths, enormous floral displays and fancy art.
