THE BEST places to dine out under cover in Surrey

dine out under cover in Surrey

With outdoor hospitality due to open on 12th April under the rule of six, (and with the substantial meal debate thankfully a distant memory) places to dine out under cover in Surrey are in in high demand. After the first lockdown, pubs and restaurants across the country invested heavily to create highly appealing and inviting outdoor spaces. With inspired décor from quirky and unique to ski chalet chic, these beautiful spaces provide a cosy and crucially dry environment for guests to enjoy all year round.

I am the first person to whip out the garden furniture with the slightest glimmer of sunshine and temperatures anything over ten degrees; any opportunity to recreate the memories of those gorgeous long evenings dining alfresco in the Med is one I will grab with both hands (a girl can dream, right?) This year, spring will not only bring sunshine and warmth, it will bring hope and a long-anticipated element of freedom. Most importantly, it will bring reunions.

Despite the cold weather, I must admit that I rather enjoyed the winter alfresco experience. I invested in a teddy coat, some inexpensive faux fur lined leggings (game changer) and I was winter dining ready! Unfortunately, the glory days of eating out were short lived as Surrey went into Tier 3 on 18th December, and Tier 4 a mere 24 hours later. As we know, the rest is history. Needless to say, a spattering of April showers next month is not going to stand in the way of the social interaction we have all craved for so long.

So where can you dine out under cover in Surrey? I have used my own experience, research and feedback from others to bring you this coveted list which will give you the confidence to to open your diary, call your friends and make some bookings.
