RECOMMENDATION: 6 Things to do in Harrogate During Lockdown

By Victoria Turner | 11th June 2020

Dare I say it, but things are starting to re-open and I’m feeling a little hopeful inside. For those looking to escape as soon as they are allowed here’s some Harrogate attractions that are re-open for you to enjoy.

The Great Knaresborough Bed Race

The Great Knaresborough Bed Race has gone virtual and it’s this Saturday 13th June!

For those who have never experienced a Bed Race day before you’re in for a treat. The day (normally) consists of a fancy-dress parade, followed by a grueling 2.4miles run, complete with an icy swim across the River Nidd to the finish line! The competition is taken very seriously by some but for others, it’s a great day to raise some money for local charities.

This year the race (& parade) is going to be a ‘virtual’ one “Bed Race 2020 Unplugged”, on Saturday 13 June 2020. So, grab the popcorn and get settled in to watch the day from the comfort of your sofa.
