16 Amazing September Offers on Eating Out in Derbyshire

By Molly Scott – 4th September, 2020
Pizza and arancini

I’ve been really conflicted about whether or not to write this. The hospitality industry has had such a hard time during lockdown. Consequently, the Eat Out to Help Out (EOHO) scheme was welcomed by most, since the discount offered to diners was reimbursed by the government. Diners, myself included, went mad for the scheme and many restaurants, cafes and bars were packed every single Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout August. For many of us, it helped ease us back into feeling comfortable going out and gave us a chance to see first hand the safety measures that many venues had put in place.

Please remember that unlike the original scheme, which finished at the end of August, the discounts listed below are achieved at the restaurant’s own expense. If we really want to ‘eat out to help out’, we need to be supporting our favourite places with or without a discount. Personally, I’ll be using offers like these as a great excuse to treat myself to a more expensive bottle of wine or a couple of extra cocktails. Win win for everyone?!

I’ve deliberately not included any big chains. At Girl About, we would much rather support local, independent restaurants and we know most of our readers do too. Expect all to be busy. Booking is strongly recommended. All of these details were correct at the time of publishing but you might want to check any Ts and Cs.
