All About Rhiannon

Hi there, I’m Rhiannon

I was born and bred in Lincolnshire, growing up in and around a beautiful little market town called Stamford. You might have heard of it, it frequently features in lists of the best places to live in the UK and I firmly believe that to be true! I was horse obsessed growing up, and still love them now, I think living in the countryside and being animal mad it was inevitable.

After university I spent almost six years in London, honing my skills in public relations in wildlife and animal charities including ZSL London Zoo and Dogs Trust, flitting back to my home county as much as I possibly could. I left my heart firmly in the countryside! I now run my own PR agency, Garnet PR, helping rural lifestyle & tourism businesses tell their stories in the media which I adore.

I split my time between Yorkshire where I live with my other half, Tom, and our puppy Teddy, and my home county where most of my family, friends and clients are. Lincolnshire is a special county, the second biggest in England yet relatively unheard of. I can’t wait to get out exploring and sharing my adventures with you!

10 Random Facts About Me

  1. I grew up on the edge of a woods in south Lincolnshire, with a wildlife photographer for a Dad. Most of my free time was spent at the stables or in the woods, so it’s safe to say I had a pretty muddy childhood and a love for nature & animals that has stayed with me ever since.
  2. I love horses and have ridden since I was little. I’m hoping to get another one of my own soon after having a couple of years horseless. I really need to work on my confidence to get jumping again, weirdly I lost it a few years ago for no reason at all other than being out of practice.
  3. I trained to be a professional dancer when I was younger, doing six classes a week at one point, but after dislocating my knee I had to pick something else to pursue. Now I run my own PR agency, Garnet PR, supporting rural lifestyle & tourism businesses.
  4. I’m a total Harry Potter geek, it would probably be my Mastermind special subject. I love anything with a hint of magic ✨
  5. My other half and I just got engaged, he proposed at the top of Edinburgh Castle just before Christmas as the sun was setting, totally indulging my love of all things magical. I’m super organised and love a colour-coded spreadsheet so I’m already excited about wedding planning!
  6. I was one of the last babies to be born in Stamford hospital, I absolutely adore my hometown and spend time there whenever I can.
  7. I can’t stand coffee, I’m a total tea drinker and would happily have 20 cups a day.
  8. Halloween is my favourite day of the year, I’m a bit of a pagan at heart and am fascinated by the natural world.
  9. I took my love of nature & animals and made a career out of it, working for some of the UK’s best-loved charities including the Woodland Trust, ZSL London Zoo and Dogs Trust. I think that’s part of why I love Lincolnshire so much, it’s still a really rural, wild county which makes it special.
  10. During my five years at ZSL London Zoo managing the charity’s celebrity engagement I worked alongside and spent time with some of the biggest superstars in the world; Sir David Attenborough, George Lucas, David Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Bill Bailey, Margot Robbie, the list goes on. Penguins, tigers and celebs were all in a days work!
