My Favourite Restuarants Taking Part in the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme in Kent

By Kirsty Lavender – 8th August 2020

With the Eat Out To Help Out Government scheme in full swing I thought I should share some of my favourite places in Kent that are taking part.

What is Eat Out to Help Out?

Get your meal for half price when you eat out at a restaurant, café or pub during August as part of the government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

The scheme will run from the 3rd to 31st August, where you will get a 50% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner) every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout August.

However, you cannot claim on alcoholic drinks and service charges.

It’s a great opportunity to support local now more than ever, there are hundreds of places in Kent who are taking part. This is the perfect chance to try somewhere new or go back to one of your favourite places.

My Personal Favourites

The Italianate Glass House, Ramsgate

A fantastic tearoom serving up delicious cakes and cream teas, set against the backdrop of a gorgeous Glass House.

Cafe Revival, Whitstable

Serving up amazing vegetarian food in the heart of Whitstable.

Morelli’s, Broadstairs

A traditional ice cream parlour on Broadstairs’ beautiful seafront.

The Ambrette, Canterbury, Margate

While this is not strictly part of the government’s scheme the Ambrette is offering 50% off on takeaway orders of their delicious modern Indian cuisine.

These are eateries that have announced they are taking part in the scheme. I have only featured those that I have visited and thoroughly enjoyed. To find out other restaurants in your area use the government’s postcode finder.
