REVIEW |The Garden Secret Spa at Ringwood Hall Hotel & Spa, Chesterfield

I love a spa. I love everything about it: the unashamed decadence of spending time doing very little other than unwinding, I love the treatments and most of all I love lounging about in a dressing gown. I would happily travel a few hours to a decent spa. But let’s face it, it’s better to spend as much time RELAXING as possible (rather than schlepping up and down a motorway) so when Ringwood Hall Hotel opened a luxe looking spa practically on my doorstep it was very much on my Girl About radar.

REVIEW | The Devonshire Arms at Bolton Abbey – The Yorkshire Dales

The Devonshire Arms at picture-perfect Bolton Abbey on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales is one of Yorkshire’s most fabulous and intimate places to stay. It's old school, luxurious, and a proper treat for anyone looking for a romantic 24 hours. For me, the hotel's location always congers up scenes from the original hit musical; Mary Poppins, where Dick-Van-Dyke chalks a perfect picture of the English countryside and they all dive in for a day out in the country.

REVIEW | Ye Olde Bell Hotel & Spa – Sheffield

Ye Olde Bell must have been listening to my prayers, because it felt like I had literally won the golden ticket when they got in touch inviting me for a kid-free spa weekend. Jaded by pregnancy and the whirlwind of baby twins, I had literally been waiting for a weekend like this for a what seems a lifetime. Relaxation, pamper, food, wine and a good nights’ sleep. I couldn’t help but set high expectations for what Ye Olde Bell was going to offer me.

My husband worked away for Christmas so our celebrations began in November when he was home and during that time we ate all the food and drank all the wine. By the time my husband went back to work on the 10th December I was all Christmassed out and was approximately 80% Sauvignon Blanc

REVIEW | My Little Farm Spa, West Yorkshire

Nestled in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, a mere 15 mins from my front door, is a hidden gem – My Little Farm Spa. Picture the scene: a crisp, bright morning; the winter sun shining its little hat off and me driving down a farm track surrounded by sheep mooching about in frost tipped fields. Glorious.

REVIEW | Rudding Park Hotel & Spa – Harrogate

I needed some proper R&R.  My aching body was crying out for a long luxurious massage. My mental health was in a state of despair after weeks of struggling to power on through the trials and tribulations everyday life as a wife, mum and business owner with a varying strain of the God-awful Ozzie Flu gripping to my weary bones. My overnight sojourn to Rudding Park Hotel and Spa just 10 minutes outside of the spa town of Harrogate In Yorkshire could not have come at a more perfect time.
