Keeping it local with The Locals, Chelsea

What I loved about The Locals, Chelsea:

It’s based in the heart of Chelsea this place offers a relaxed vibe, light interior and the perfect place for a spot of brunch. The menu is inspired by healthy eating and all dishes use natural ingredients only.

The restaurant has adapted well inline with the Covid19 changes and offers socially distanced tables. A hand sanitising station is provided as you enter the restaurant and you are encouraged to scan in, registering yourself for the track and trace service.

Worth travelling across London for?

Light and airy space, decorated with plants draped on the shelving and big wooden tables. I’d say it was the perfect spot to dine bringing friends and family together. They offer breakfast and brunch classics with ‘The Locals’ touch.

I went for the truffle and wild mushroom eggs served on sourdough toast. It’s quite possibly one of the most beautiful brunches I have ever ordered. The egg is served in a rose formation and tasted so fluffy. The combination of the truffle was nice although quite overpowering and rich. I loved it, but might be a bit too much if you’re not a massive truffle fan.

I coupled mine with a rose latte, which was so delicious! The floral flavours of the rose come through so subtly without being too overbearing. It’s also beautifully presented with rose petals carefully sprinkled on top.

My partner opted for the eggs benedict. In true ‘Locals style’, it was delivered with a twist and was served in a toasted brioche bun. The centre is cut out and an egg baked inside, quite the surprise when you dig in. It comes with parma ham, hollandaise, and a poachy on the top.

The food and layout of the restaurant are very aesthetically pleasing and great for that all-important Insta snap! They are still very much adapting since the Covid19 outbreak and whilst they had the social distancing measures down, they appeared to still be getting back into the flow in the kitchen and with the service. It’s somewhere to add to the list for sure though!
