LUNCH RECOMMENDATION – Bottomless Lunch at Foundry Project, Manchester

By Caroline Towers – 10th February 2020

Venue: Foundry Project

Author: Caroline Towers

Territory: Manchester

Why I love it: A cool venue in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter serving generous amounts of prosecco and pizza or burgers for lunch!

Expect: A lively atmosphere for bottomless lunch with tasty food and a good time had by all.

Value for money: 9/10

Setting the scene: In the middle of the cool Northern Quarter in Manchester is the Foundry Project. We booked for a bottomless lunch – We went for lunch rather than brunch as we thought it would be a more substantial meal to soak up all the fizz!

It was very busy and we booked a table for two a few weeks in advance when we knew we would be in Manchester. Our booking was for 4 pm and we did have a little wait for a table which wasn’t quite ready as they were fully booked.

Once we got our table the fun began, for bottomless you receive 2 hours of unlimited prosecco but the time didn’t begin until our first drink.

At the beginning of our couple of hours, it was very busy, mainly full of groups of women, there were certainly a few hen dos and for a short erewhile I think my fella was the only man in the Foundry Project dining. After about half an hour, it quietened down.

If you’re wanting a louder atmosphere then book early but if, like me, you prefer a more relaxed environment book later in the day.

The Menu: For bottomless lunch, you have unlimited prosecco, bellinis, mimosas or bloody marys. We both went for prosecco and they left us a full bottle of prosecco on the table and replaced it once we were through. They were really generous and having a bottle means you can keep a bit more track of how much you drink!

For your food, you can choose from a pizza, a burger or a salad. I went for the burger and ordered an additional side of chips and my fella ordered pizza. They were both really tasty and in many ways nicer than the more traditional brunch which the bottomless type of dining tends to favour.

For lunch, the bottomless drinks and food are £25 and the lunch is available between 12 and 5 pm. There is also a brunch option between 12 and 3 pm with the same drinks and an item from the brunch menu for £22.

This is a Girl About recommendation. This means that it was not gifted in return for a review but paid in full by our writer and the venue had no idea that I was there. We only recommend places we absolutely love, and places that we know youll love too!
