Six Fabulous Afternoon Tea ideas for Mother’s Day in Surrey

By Sara Hardy– 21st February  2021
Afternoon tea

For many, Mother’s Day will be difficult this year; those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. For those who have lost, for those who yearn, for those who cannot be together; my thoughts are with you. More than ever, this year has shown us that we must take nothing for granted.

The last twelve months have put a strain on each and every one of us, and we can look to each other for support. Surrey has a brilliant network of female led independent businesses who work together and support one another. I am proud to be part of this network and love writing about wonderful experiences with each of these businesses and bringing their brilliance to the forefront.

Today, I wanted to shine the light on those who are offering special afternoon teas for Mother’s Day for everyone to enjoy with their household or bubble.

Afternoon tea from Food Envy London

This Byfleet based business is offering a delicious afternoon tea with a selection of finger sandwiches, cakes and treats.  In addition, they have created an alternative selection of delicious afternoon treats that can be safely sent by post to a loved one for the perfect gift in a box. Depending on the type of box ordered, you will find a tempting selection of finger sandwiches, homemade sweet scones with clotted cream and jam, chocolate brownie, macaroons, Victoria sponge, tart au citron and a decadent chocolate pot. This package can be delivered any day of the week, please enquire for availability.

Their limited-edition grazing box is priced at £60 for two people and includes a choice of finger sandwiches, individual quiches, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, scones, fruit and plain with mini jam pots and clotted cream, individual tarte au citrons, brownies, mini cupcakes, fresh fruits and berries.
